Election Proclamation & Candidate Application

The Sherman Hill Road Improvement and Service District (SHRISD) will hold a Mail Ballot election for one Director’s position on Tuesday November 7, 2023. This position is a four-year term. Applications to get your name on the ballot for this election can be obtained from the current SHRISD Board of Directors by emailing SHRISD8@gmail.com, and can also be found on our website, www.SHRISD.org. Candidates must file an application for election with the District Secretary by mailing the application to Sherman Hill Road Improvement and Service District (SHRISD), PO Box 1283, Laramie, WY 82071. Completed applications must be received by the District Secretary no earlier than August 9, 2023 and no later than August 28, 2023. All qualified electors are entitled to vote for Directors at District elections. Qualified electors are property owners and district residents who are registered voters. Qualified electors will be mailed a ballot package with a return-verification envelope and instruction, including the date and time the ballot must physically be in the hands of the election official. The Albany County Courthouse shall be open between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Election Day as a polling place. Mail ballots shall be available from 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Election Day at the polling place for voters who are not listed on the county voter registration records or the registration list but who are otherwise entitled to vote.
